What is Fibroblasting?

What is fibroblasting? | New Era Worcester

Fibroblasting is a new, non-invasive skin-tightening treatment that rejuvenates the skin with long-lasting effects without the need for surgery. It’s sometimes referred to as Plasma Pen or Plasma Fibroblasting too.

What are Fibroblasts

Fibroblasts are the main cell type in dermis, which is the skin layer below the epidermis. They are produced from the skin stem cells and are vital in generating and maintaining collagen and elastin, the key to youthful-looking skin.

Through age, skin stem cell numbers decrease, become less active and produce fewer Fibroblasts. A plasma flash, known as an electrical arc, stimulates the Fibroblasts into producing more collagen and repair the skin.

The non-surgical procedure doesn’t require any penetration of the epidermis and causes no damage to the surrounding areas of skin.

What is fibroblasting used for?

Fibroblasting is a highly-effective alternation to surgery for conditions including:

  • Eyelid lift, tightening
  • Neck tightening
  • Wrinkle reduction
  • Reduction of upper lip wrinkles
  • Stretch marks
  • Scars

How does it work?

A tiny plasma flash is discharged from the Plasma Pen. The pen never touches the skin but the electrical arc creates a tiny dot on contact. The pen will then follow a symmetrical grid evenly over the treatment area.

You’ll notice the effects immediately with full results become visible after 2-4 weeks. The whole process produces minimal discomfort.
