What is Skin Tag and Mole Removal?

Here at New Era we use plasma fibrobasting to carry out skin vegetation removal. This method can be used on:

  • Cherry angiomas
  • Milia

These skin blemishes can develop at any age, and in most cases their causes are unknown. With plasma fibroblasting, they can be removed safely and permanently. The NHS no longer carries out this procedure.

How does Skin Tag and Mole Removal work?

Plasma fibroblasting is a non-surgical process in which plasma pen is used to create a hot electric current.

This current is aimed at the blemish to create a carbon dot in the upper layer of the skin (dermis), causing the skin tag or mole to come off.

A carbon crust will form where the blemish used to be and within two to four days the skin will produce collagen and repair itself.

During your consultation we will inform you about anything you should know ahead of your appointment. 

As a general rule, the skin around the treatment area should be healthy, intact and free of makeup and other cosmetics.

Aftercare

Skin tag and mole removals are generally easy maintenance but there are a few things to be aware of. At your appointment you will be given aftercare instructions to ensure optimal results.

The treatment area must be kept clean and free of makeup and cosmetics until the crust has fallen off and the skin has healed. 

We will give you thorough instructions of what to watch out for and you can always contact us if you have any questions about your healing process.

If you have more than one mole or skin tag to remove, we will quote you the price during your consultation. We do not charge per blemish, and it is very cost efficient to get multiple moles and/or skin tags removed in one session. Additional charges are reasonable and aim to be affordable.
